Introduction
The Alang Madan Kulang Trek is a two-day trek that takes a good view of the region. The highlight of the trip is the forest beneath the castles. The trails are beautiful and offer an opportunity to see wildlife, including monkeys, pigeons and peacocks. However, the climb is not ideal for people traveling alone. The trip is best suited for groups of friends or family members.
The first leg of the trek is towards Kulang. Rope assistance is important here as the road can be very slippery. After completing the descent, you will reach the corner connecting the castles of Madan and Kulang. A short climb on the other side will take you to a height of 800 meters. From here, you will be rewarded with an amazing look.
The journey is a challenge, but it is worth the effort. You will pass through many basic locations. The journey starts at Ghatghar and ends at Kurungwadi, which creates a great mix. Taking care of your belongings is important when traveling in the woods, and you will be well rewarded. Walking is worth the time and effort. It is a great way to get a view of the natural landscape and see the amazing landscape.
Route Information
Alang Madan Kulang is not only a challenging journey, but also makes deciding where the journey will start and end up being a challenge again! This is because there are a lot of villages in the areas where the journey begins. Additionally there is an option to mix and match your starting points and endings too! There aren’t many trips that allow you to choose the place where you start your journey and where you end it. We have taken the most common and most efficient route to start and end the journey that can be described as Ghatghar towards Kurungwadi. We believe this is the best route as the trail offers an amazing view of all three castles once you start climbing the mountain. The trail also cuts through agricultural areas and the trails are green in this case. The joy of starting a hiking in one place and ending in another is something you only experience when you are in the Himalayan mountains.

Part 1: Ghatghar to Alangad
Cover distance: 6.6 Kilometers
Departure Time: 4 hours and 10 minutes
The Ghatghar route to Alangad starts in the barren area, passing through farms. The road surrounds the fountain, which marks the route to Alang Fort. About 2 km long, this trek takes you up to the top of the castle rock. It is easy to judge the level of the castles and their view is amazing. You can also climb a mountain to see the sunrise and sunset.
Part 2: Alangad goes to Mandangad

This is the stage where the hard descent begins.
Climbing the Alang route to Madan is a great way to get the best of the region. The trek begins on the west side of the castle and gradually progresses to a steep slope. From there, you can take a metal staircase to climb a series of stairs leading to the darwaja, which is a stone enclosure. You will need to be extremely careful to avoid stumbling and falling.
Part 3: Mandangad goes to Kulanggad

The route from Mandangad to Kulangad includes a trek across the castle from Alang’s tracks. The alang ridge is located on the western side of the Kalsubai range. This place is also home to the Alang castle and is the best place to see the sunset. Alang was built in the 17th century to guard the ancient trade route between Nashik and Kalyan. The Moghuls probably gave it to Pesha fortress. The British captured it in 1818 but did not take any action.
Part 4: Kulangad to Kurungwadi

From the top of the mountain, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding area. The castle is huge, so it will take you at least 30 to 40 minutes to walk from one end to the other. Part of the forest is full of rocks and rocks. Be prepared for a challenging climb, as the area is not for the weak.
